I am Mrs. Kollman, the Library Media Specialist at Bedford ES.  I also co-teach several lab learning classes.  The focus in the media center is two-fold.  The purpose of the library media program is to foster an appreciation of literature and teach information literacy skills.  It is my goal to collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement lessons that employ strategies to integrate multiple literacies with content curriculum.  I will strive to reinforce a wide variety of reading instructional strategies to ensure that our students are able to create meaning from text.  Above all - I want to encourage and foster a love of reading!
